Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Cloverdale's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Cloverdale got themselves on the board against Lower Lake on Tuesday, but Lower Lake never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 18-0 win. That looming 18-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Camryn Bird made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Cloverdale got a massive performance out of Bella Sanchez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Camryn Donahoo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Cloverdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Lake only posted an OBP of .062.

Cloverdale is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Lower Lake, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
