Rosamond is 10-0 against Desert since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Rosamond Roadrunners will head out on the road to challenge the Desert Scorpions at 7:30 p.m. Rosamond will be strutting in after a win while Desert will be coming in after a loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, Rosamond gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 75-48 victory over Kern Valley at home. The victory was just what Rosamond needed coming off of a 71-49 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rosamond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fabian Robles, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Aguirre, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Desert pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mammoth. Desert has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rosamond pushed their record up to 16-9 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Desert, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.
Everything came up roses for Rosamond against Desert in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 87-53 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rosamond since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
