The Northwood Temple Academy Eagles fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Father Capodanno Grunts on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Grunts by a score of 51-48. Northwood Temple Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
It was another big night for Julie Attar, who scored 27 points for Father Capodanno. Another player making a difference was Emma Klotz, who scored 12 points.
Northwood Temple Academy's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.8 points per game. As for Father Capodanno, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Northwood Temple Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Father Capodanno, they will be playing at home against Scotland Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Scotland Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Friday.
