Chloe Byrd was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI. Those doubles were her first of the season.
