Shrine Catholic is 6-1 against Clawson since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Shrine Catholic will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Friday, Shrine Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Lutheran Northwest, taking the game 4-1.

Sean Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caydin Barbato, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Clawson made easy work of Ferndale on Tuesday and carried off a 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 15 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Shane Dunlap made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Elliott Groves was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Jackson Hein was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.
Clawson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.4.
Clawson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Shrine Catholic, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Shrine Catholic has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clawson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Shrine Catholic skirted past Clawson 9-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
