The Rushville Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Jennings County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Rushville has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Jennings County will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Saturday, Rushville came up short against Connersville and fell 47-37.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Carly Senour, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Leonie Boyer, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Jennings County can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Warren Central, posting a 70-35 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Jennings County has posted since December 20, 2023.
Rushville bumped their record down to 7-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Jennings County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
Rushville ended up a good deal behind Jennings County when the teams last played back in December of 2022, losing 68-53. Can Rushville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
