Central of Coosa County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Mitchell, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for Mitchell. Majavius Culpepper was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Fayetteville bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central of Coosa County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Fayetteville will be playing in front of their home fans against Comer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central of Coosa County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilcox Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wilcox Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
