Concord Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justice Alexander, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Alexander's third in a row with at least 17 points. Jada Powell was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and seven boards.
Concord Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 22 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
SouthLake Christian Academy not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 11th (when they won 58-6). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westminster Catawba Christian 45-13. The Eagles pushed the score to 33-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Indians had little chance of recovering from.
SouthLake Christian Academy's win came from a few key players Concord Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kristen Nohr, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Hannah Stubbs, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards.
Concord Academy pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points on average over those games. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, their record now sits at 5-7.
