The Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Fort Bend Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Frassati Catholic, taking the game 46-37. The victory was just what Fort Bend Christian Academy needed coming off of a 63-27 defeat in their prior contest.
Lutheran South Academy posted their biggest win since November 14, 2023 on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The Woodlands Christian Academy 51-24 on the road.
Makynna Robbins was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 15 times she's played. Morgan Gray was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Fort Bend Christian Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. As for Lutheran South Academy, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Fort Bend Christian Academy won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, slipping by Lutheran South Academy 45-44.
