The Natoma Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Rock Hills at home and fell 85-28. Natoma found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 21 fewer assists than your opponent.
Natoma lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kelden Rubottom, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rubottom has scored all season. Jackson Young was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
It was another big night for Cooper McDill, who scored 24 points along with six steals and five rebounds for Rock Hills. McDill is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Ward, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Natoma has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which is still a better percentage than their 1-12 record this season. As for Rock Hills, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.
Natoma will head out on the road to square off against Stockton on Thursday. Stockton is on a four-game streak of home losses, Natoma a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Rock Hills, they will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln on Friday. Rock Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
