Kingwood Christian will be playing at home against Glenwood at at 8:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
If Kingwood Christian were riding high off their 49-7 takedown of Cornerstone Christian two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Kingwood Christian ended up on the wrong side of a painful 7-35 walloping at Chambers Academy's hands. Kingwood Christian's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.
Meanwhile, we expected Glenwood to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Noxubee County last Friday, and they did. Glenwood have to be aching after a bruising 0-32 loss to Noxubee County. Glenwood were down by 0-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
