Despite the loss, Pamlico County got a solid performance out of Dania Galvan-Veliz, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks. Galvan-Veliz is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Sydney Lamar was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jones' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Northside - Pinetown, falling 58-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Jones has suffered against Northside - Pinetown since January 8, 2021.
Pamlico County's record now sits at 6-10. Jones' record is now 3-10.
Pamlico County beat Jones 61-50 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pamlico County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
