Basketball Recap: York Country Day Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

York Country Day put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 87-30 win over the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers. York Country Day has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.

York Country Day was led to victory by Sincere Burgos and Isaiah White. Burgos went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and eight steals, while White went 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points along with five boards and four steals. That's the most steals White has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Slaughter, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

York Country Day pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

York Country Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-31 win against Christian School of York on the 17th. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 72-57 defeat against Lancaster Country Day on the 17th.
