Roosevelt is 7-1 against Ravenna since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Roosevelt Rough Riders will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Ravenna Ravens at 7:00 p.m. Roosevelt is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Even though Roosevelt has not done well against Woodridge recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Roosevelt managed a 51-46 win over Woodridge.
Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grant Leslie, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Anthony Helton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ravenna came up short against Springfield on Thursday and fell 54-45. Ravenna has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Roosevelt's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Ravenna, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Things could have been worse for Roosevelt, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-33 loss to Ravenna in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
