2A District 4 recap September 24, 2013
Kingston moved up to 145 from 173 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 4. The Redskins were able to move up by topping Wilson 44-6.
Davis was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from third to first in the league. The Wolves vanquished Heritage Hall 58-23 earlier in the week.
Coalgate's Colby Jones and Dakota Powell have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jones has thrown for 284 yards this season, while Powell has 13 catches for 175 yards. Tishomingo's DeVante Lawson leads the league in rushing yards with 222.
A big matchup in 2A District 4 this week will be when Davis takes on Konawa. Jody Weber's team is currently in first, while the Tigers are in third.
The Wolves led the league in scoring this week by notching 58 points on the Chargers.
