In what's become a running theme this season, Jackson-Reed gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Banneker with a sharp 57-32 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Jackson-Reed has posted since December 13, 2023.
Jackson-Reed's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aminyah Muhammed, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, and Noa Gordon, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Gordon scored 15 or more points.
Meanwhile, Bell faced Coolidge in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bell had to suffer through a rough 62-7 loss at the hands of Coolidge. Bell has not had much luck with Coolidge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jackson-Reed's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Bell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
