Garden Spot extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 9-9 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Eastern Lebanon County Raiders. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Madix Bracken made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Garden Spot is 2-1 when Bracken allows three or fewer hits, but 7-8 otherwise. Bracken was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Ryder Hertzler was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Garden Spot: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Brody Torrance was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
