There's no place like home for Santiam, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gervais Cougars with a sharp 16-3 victory on Friday. Considering the Wolverines have won six games by more than 12 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Boston Flores made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
