Basketball Recap: DSST: Cedar Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

DSST: Cedar entered their tilt with Lincoln on Friday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Lincoln Lancers 53-28. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

DSST: Cedar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amaya Paul, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Paul has scored at least a third of DSST: Cedar's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raniya Paul, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

DSST: Cedar was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Oshalaya Davis, who posted 11 points and four blocks. Davis has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hawa Gueye, who had 11 points.

DSST: Cedar pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.8 points. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

DSST: Cedar has already played their next game, a 34-23 win against Bruce Randolph on the 18th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-33 defeat against Gateway on the 15th.
