The Marshall County Tigers will be playing at home against the Franklin County Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marshall County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
After a string of three wins, Marshall County's good fortune finally ran out. They took a 60-45 bruising from Lawrence County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marshall County has scored all season.
Marshall County's loss came about despite a quality game from Jabrae Howard, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Howard has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamahl Gentry, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Franklin County narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Tullahoma 51-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for Franklin County.
Marshall County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for Franklin County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season.
Marshall County strolled past Franklin County in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 73-54. Will Marshall County repeat their success, or does Franklin County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
