The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Columbus Academy in their matchups with Buckeye Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Buckeye Valley to victory were Carlie Osborne and Ella Hazelrigg. Osborne scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Hazelrigg scored 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Osborne is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Huston, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Columbus Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Buckeye Valley, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.
Columbus Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buckeye Valley, they will be playing at home against Hamilton Township at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Buckeye Valley's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Hamilton Township has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
