Despite the loss, Johnson City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Collin Corpus went 6 for 15 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Corpus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Jackson, who posted five points, to go along with five boards and three steals.

Johnson City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 86-18 victory against Lohn on the 6th. As for Cherokee, they will square off against Rochelle at 7:30 p.m. on December 10th.
