It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against Blue Ridge by a score of 28-19. The victory was just business as usual for Scurry-Rosser, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Scurry-Rosser to victory were De'shawn Wren and Kayden Bradshaw. Wren rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns, while Bradshaw rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Bradshaw's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Ralph Miller and his 89 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Scurry-Rosser's victory.
Scurry-Rosser's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Scurry-Rosser will square off against Comanche at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Comanche knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Scurry-Rosser likes a good challenge. Blue Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
