Menno/Marion was out to avenge their 14-55 loss to Baltic from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Menno/Marion took a 26-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Baltic. Menno/Marion were down by 18-40 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Menno/Marion's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Gavin Pankratz, who passed for 341 yards and 4 touchdowns. On the defensive end, they got some fancy footwork from junior Trey Spencer, who dodged the offensive line for 3 sacks.
Menno/Marion are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3. The win bumped Baltic's record up to 3-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Menno/Marion are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Garretson next week at 7:00 PM. Baltic will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Viborg/Hurley at 7:00 PM. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games.
