Gilbert Christian is 3-0 against Trivium Prep since December of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Gilbert Christian Knights will look to defend their home pitch against the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Gilbert Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Crismon an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Knights' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Their offense was hitting Crismon from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Noah Collier led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Trivium Prep hasn't lost a match since December 6, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They blew past Scottsdale Preparatory Academy 7-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crimson Knights needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Trivium Prep used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Makai Maurice (60), Maximo Moreno (80), and Diego Campos (54). The trio had averaged 30.1, 52.9, and 27.7 minutes respectively before Tuesday's match. Moreno made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal and one assist and four steals A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Trivium Prep pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those six contests. As for Gilbert Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Gilbert Christian took their victory against Trivium Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 7-2. Does Gilbert Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trivium Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
