Even though the Oakland-Craig Knights have not done well against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Oakland-Craig came out on top in a nail-biter against the and snuck past 47-44. The victory was nothing new for Oakland-Craig as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakland-Craig to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaak Maxwell, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Anderson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Several Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Kurtenbach, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Baumgart, who scored 16 points.
Oakland-Craig is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland-Craig will challenge the Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Guardian Angels Central Catholic is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wolfpack on Thursday.
