Laker moved up to 363 from 404 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Greater Thumb - West. The Lakers were able to make the jump by defeating Bad Axe 21-6.
Reese extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Unionville-Sebewaing, 55-42. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Vassar's dynamic duo of Michael Pratt and Nathan Greaves proved tough for Cass City to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pratt threw for 298 yards and six touchdowns and Greaves had 140 yards receiving. Josh Bassett helped Vassar's passing attack out by catching three balls for 95 yards.
Tyler Cardinal was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 82 yards as All Saints Central beat the Red Hawks. Devin Sharrow also contributed to the rushing game with 70 yards on the ground.
Vassar's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vulcans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tanner MacKay has thrown for 442 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Greaves has 16 catches for 507 yards. Greaves leads the league in rushing with 727 yards.
Laker made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,643 from 10,568. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 21-6 victory over the Hatchets last week.
