The South Pointe Stallions will square off against the Camden Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Camden will be up against a hot South Pointe squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 20. South Pointe really took it to Richland Northeast for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-18 win. With the Stallions ahead 43-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

South Pointe found their leader in freshman Kaleigh Lucas, who went 8 for 19 en route to 23 points along with eight steals and five boards. That's the most steals Lucas has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kemoni Hardy, who posted nine points and six steals.
South Pointe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 16 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Camden's strategy against Dreher on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Camden blew Dreher out of the water with a 75-40 final score. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 123rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Pointe better focus on containing Morgan Champion and Shanaryah Wright as the pair were huge in Camden's win. Champion went 9 of 17 on her way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists, while Wright dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. Champion has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. Harmony Jefferson was another key player, putting up six points and 12 steals.
South Pointe's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points per game. As for Camden, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Pointe has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Camden struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
South Pointe was able to grind out a solid win over Camden when the teams last played on January 8th, winning 66-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Pointe since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
