The Summit Storm and the Wilsonville Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Summit Storm had to settle for second. Summit was dealt a 34-2 loss at the hands of Wilsonville. Summit's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Wilsonville was led to victory by Mark Wiepert and Kallen Gutridge. Wiepert picked up 157 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Gutridge threw for 286 yards and five touchdowns. Gutridge is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last eight games he's played.
Summit's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Wilsonville, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilsonville will square off against Mountain View at TBD on Friday. Mountain View is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
