The Washougal Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Orting Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
After only eight points in their last contest, Washougal made sure to put some points up on the board against Aberdeen on Saturday. Washougal took down Aberdeen 35-21.
Holden Bea got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score.
Meanwhile, Orting stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Olympic at home to the tune of 44-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Orting just coasted through the last quarter.
Shiron Seniours and Carson McCall were among the main playmakers for Orting as the former gained 80 total yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 95 yards on only nine carries.
Washougal is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Orting, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Washougal has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 176.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Orting struggles in that department as they've been even better at 244.4 per game. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
