Meanwhile, Southwest SD fell victim to Chula Vista's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 47-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Castle Park now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Southwest SD, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

However, it's not like Southwest SD struggles in that department as they've been averaging 147.9 per game. It's looking like Thursday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Castle Park strolled past Southwest SD in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 by a score of 33-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castle Park since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
