Blair is 9-1 against Plattsmouth since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Blair Bears will venture away from home to take on the Plattsmouth Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Blair ended up a good deal behind Bennington and lost 62-44. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Badgers are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Plattsmouth waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 68-59 win over the Lions. The score was all tied up 38-38 at the break, but the Blue Devils were the better team in the second half.

Plattsmouth's win came from a few key players Blair will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Traceson Skalberg, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Johnson, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Plattsmouth was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Plattsmouth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Blair, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Blair strolled past Plattsmouth in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 65-50. Will Blair repeat their success, or does Plattsmouth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
