Softball Recap: Huntington's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Huntington waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Central Heights Blue Devils as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Huntington pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Central Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Huntington will square off against rival Diboll at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Heights is set to challenge their familiar foe Pollok Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.5, the Bulldogs 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
