The National Trail Blazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brookville. If National Trail hoped to take revenge for the 36-33 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Ashlee Haupt was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with nine steals and five rebounds for Brookville. That makes it three consecutive games in which Haupt has scored at least a third of Brookville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Gardner, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
National Trail bumped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Brookville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
National Trail will head out on the road to challenge Dixie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakwood at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
