Amarillo entered their tilt with Lubbock on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Westerners 10-2. That's two games straight that the Sandies have won by exactly eight runs.

Amarillo's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lubbock, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amarillo will venture away from home to take on Tascosa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Rebels have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lubbock, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lubbock-Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
