Grace Baptist Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 73-0 loss at the hands of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Friday.
Notre Dame got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Campbell out in front who threw for 203 yards and five touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Campbell a new career-high. Michael Woodley was another key back, gaining 125 total yards and two touchdowns.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Baptist Academy will challenge East Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
