The Clio Mustangs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the North Branch Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st. Clio will be strutting in after a win while North Branch will be coming in after a defeat.
Clio scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Bentley with a sharp 69-43 win. That looming 69-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Clio yet this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins dating back to last season, North Branch's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Powers Catholic 69-22. While losing is never fun, North Branch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Powers Catholic is ranked 15th).
Clio's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for North Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.
Clio ended up a good deal behind North Branch in their previous meeting back in February, losing 62-48. Can Clio avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
