Manchester Memorial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dover apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Manchester Memorial's loss came despite strong showings from Jocelyn Eosue and NyAsia McKelvey. Eosue scored nine points, while McKelvey scored two points along with ten rebounds and five blocks. McKelvey has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played.
Manchester Memorial has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Dover, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester Memorial will take on Spaulding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spaulding is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Dover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinkerton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pinkerton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
