Ballston Spa is a perfect 4-0 against Bethlehem Central since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Scotties will square off against the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. Ballston Spa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Ballston Spa easily dispatched Saratoga Springs on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Scotties fell just short of Averill Park by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. The loss was the Scotties' first of the season.

Livia Wiltsie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Madelyn Perrone was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Ava Boni also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethlehem Central). They blew past Mohonasen 16-1 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The team relied heavily on Molly Campbell, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Meghan Biche, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bethlehem Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mohonasen struck out 11 times.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ballston Spa fell to 4-1. As for Bethlehem Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Ballston Spa took their victory against Bethlehem Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scotties since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
