The Aptos Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season. They blew past San Lorenzo Valley, posting a 65-38 victory at home. The victory was just what Aptos needed coming off of a 66-44 defeat in their prior game.
Isaiah Ackerman was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was his 13th in a row with at least ten points. Nick Tovani was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Aptos has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for San Lorenzo Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Aptos will head out on the road to face off against Soquel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Soquel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 770th, while Aptos is ranked 353rd). As for San Lorenzo Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Harbor at 7:00 p.m.
