It was a good run, but the Turpin Cardinals unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Balko 65-60. Turpin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Balko apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Despite the loss, Turpin still got an impressive performance from Bryson Parker, who scored 26 points. Gunner Post was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Turpin's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Balko, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turpin will square off against Mooreland at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Mooreland is ranked 202nd, while Turpin is ranked 195th). As for Balko, they will head out on the road to square off against Tyrone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
