After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harrisonburg, Georgetown was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rayville Hornets with a sharp 16-4 victory. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Rayville, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will challenge Calvin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rayville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Madison at 4:00 p.m.
