The Havre de Grace Warriors struggled with assists on Thursday (Patterson Mill had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Havre de Grace fell 47-40 to Patterson Mill. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Havre de Grace in their matchups with Patterson Mill: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Havre de Grace still got an impressive performance from Azareya Whiting, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Whiting is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sanai Knox was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Kiley Wilhelm, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds for Patterson Mill. Wilhelm has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Madsen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Havre de Grace has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Patterson Mill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Aberdeen the next time they take the court. Patterson Mill will head out to face Aberdeen at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while Havre de Grace will head out to face them at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
