The Lincoln Lions put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They ended the year with a bang, routing Tolman 80-57. Fans of Lincoln have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Lincoln had a senior duo take command as Wayne Mcnamara scored 30 points and Camden Dichiara scored 26 points. The matchup was Mcnamara's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Bergeron, who scored nine points.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isiah Gois, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Gois has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Gelinas, who scored 11 points.
Tolman struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Tolman, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.
Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Country Day is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Tolman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Times Squared Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Times Squared Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Rhode Island Rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Tolman is ranked fifth).
