Football Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Skates Past Western with Ease

Tippecanoe Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 38-7 victory over the Western Panthers. With the Vikings ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Owen Omondi and Wes Parker. Omondi rushed for 112 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries while Parker rushed for 114 yards and two scores. Parker's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 114 rushing yards.

Tippecanoe Valley's record is now 5-2. As for Western, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Tippecanoe Valley is taking a road trip to challenge Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Logansport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Matthew McKitrick and Elliot Baldini.
