Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Johnstown Christian Bluejays

The Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors will square off against the Johnstown Christian Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Calvary Christian Academy has three straight victories, Johnstown Christian has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Monday, Calvary Christian Academy earned a 57-45 win over Blair County Christian.

Calvary Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Suttles, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. Suttles' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Lloyd, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Johnstown Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 36-31 to Grace Prep.

Calvary Christian Academy's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Johnstown Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Calvary Christian Academy strolled past Johnstown Christian in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 63-45. Will Calvary Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Johnstown Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
