Basketball Recap: Arvin Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Arvin had won two straight games and Xzavier Pierson-Brooks did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Arvin Bears came out on top against the Wasco Tigers by a score of 51-39 thanks in part to Pierson-Brooks, who posted 20 points and eight rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aziz Ochoa, who put up eight points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Arvin's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Wasco, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arvin will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Woodlake at 6:30 p.m. on December 26th. Wasco will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
