The LaBrae Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Cardinal with points to spare, taking the game 69-50. The win was just what LaBrae needed coming off of a 64-33 loss in their prior matchup.
LaBrae found their leader in underclassman Ella Kuszmaul, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Mariah Jones was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
LaBrae has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Cardinal, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaBrae will face off against Badger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Badger will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something LaBrae surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cardinal, they will head out on the road to square off against Andrews Osborne Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cardinal is facing Andrews Osborne Academy at the right time seeing as Andrews Osborne Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
