For the second straight game, Greenbrier West will face off against Mount View. The Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Golden Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenbrier West will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Mount View's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Greenbrier West hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Cavaliers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Golden Knights a 12-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Brilee Redden made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

Those three runs gave Adkins a new career-high. Diana Porter was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Greenbrier West pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Mount View, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greenbrier West has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mount View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
