Weaver hasn't had much luck against Ohatchee recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bearcats will face off against the Indians at 6:30 p.m. Ohatchee took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Weaver, who comes in off a win.
Weaver not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18, 2025 (when they won 17-0). They put the hurt on Faith Christian with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Bearcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Connor Hyatt made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elijah Wills, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Zane Hairrell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Weaver always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Christian only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, Ohatchee fell victim to Ranburne and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Bulldogs. The Indians have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Weaver has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Ohatchee, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Weaver suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Ohatchee when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
